Kartik Aaryan Returns to Sports Drama After ‘Chandu Champion’, Teams Up with Kabir Khan for ‘Ladaaku’

Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan is preparing to return to the world of sports dramas after ‘Chandu Champion’. The actor is reportedly set to star in a new film titled ‘Ladaaku’, which will be directed by Kabir Khan. The project is particularly significant for Kartik as he will also make his debut as a producer with the film.

Kartik and Kabir previously worked together on ‘Chandu Champion’. With ‘Ladaaku’, the duo is once again expected to bring an inspiring story centred on sports, determination and personal struggle to the big screen.

Kartik Aaryan Begins His Production Journey

‘Ladaaku’ is reportedly the first film under Kartik Aaryan’s production house, Dopamine Studios. Kabir Khan, known for directing films such as ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ’83’, will be at the helm of the project.

The filmmaker has often explored stories involving strong emotions and real-life struggles. The upcoming film is expected to follow a similar approach, although the makers have not officially revealed many details about its storyline.

The film is currently planned for a theatrical release in 2027.

Kartik May Play a Kickboxing Coach

According to reports circulating in the entertainment industry, Kartik Aaryan may portray a kickboxing coach in the film. The story is reportedly expected to revolve around a talented young sportsperson from Kashmir whom the coach trains and guides towards a successful career.

There are also reports suggesting that the film could draw inspiration from the real-life journey of champion athlete Tajamul Islam. However, neither this connection nor the reported storyline has been officially confirmed.

If these details prove accurate, the film could explore the young athlete’s struggle to achieve her dreams, along with the bond between a coach and a student. Themes such as hard work, discipline, confidence and overcoming difficult circumstances are expected to form an important part of the narrative.

Kartik Starts Learning Kickboxing for the Role

Kartik has reportedly begun preparing for his character by undergoing physical training and learning the techniques of kickboxing. He is expected to work on both fitness and action skills to make his portrayal of the sporting world more convincing.

The film is also reportedly expected to be shot in Mumbai, Kashmir and some international locations. These settings could add variety to the film’s visuals and sporting sequences.

Other Upcoming Films of Kartik Aaryan

Apart from ‘Ladaaku’, Kartik’s upcoming projects have also generated interest among audiences. The poster of ‘Naagzilla’ has already been released, and the film is being discussed for a 2027 release. ‘Captain India’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’ are also among the projects associated with his upcoming film lineup.

However, ‘Ladaaku’ stands out as an important project because it will mark Kartik’s first step into film production while bringing him back to the sports-drama genre.
