The extended version could bring back scenes featuring several prominent actors, including Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, Hrithik Roshan and comedian Santhanam. However, the filmmakers have not officially confirmed the reported extended cut or revealed exactly which scenes will be included.
Which Scenes Could Return in the OTT Version?
According to a report by The Economic Times, the digital version may include portions featuring Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, Hrithik Roshan and Santhanam.
Santhanam’s appearance in videos released after the film’s shooting wrapped up had generated curiosity among fans. However, his scenes were reportedly missing from the theatrical version.
Similarly, some fans were disappointed by Mohanlal’s limited screen time, while Vijay Sethupathi’s portions were also reportedly shortened in the theatrical release. The OTT edition could give viewers an opportunity to see some of these deleted portions.
Amazon Prime Video and Sun NXT Mentioned as OTT Platforms
According to reports, ‘Jailer 2’ could arrive on Amazon Prime Video around November 12, approximately four weeks after its theatrical release. Sun NXT has also been mentioned in connection with the film’s digital release.
The reported 30-minute addition could make the OTT edition longer than the theatrical version and offer audiences a more extensive look at Nelson Dilipkumar’s action entertainer.
However, it is not yet clear which deleted scenes will be restored or whether the director has approved the extended edition. The makers’ official confirmation regarding the additional footage and streaming details remains important.
